    The king of parametric EQs

The PQ Mastering Equalizer is a fully parametric, dual-channel five-band equalizer, based on pioneering 120V rail technology. Able to switch between constant and proportional Q modes with the push of a button, this kind of circuit has not yet been achieved in any other analog equalizer.

NOVA GE is a parallel dynamic equalizer. Appearing in the familiar layout of a parametric equalizer, the plugin also includes a full featured dynamics section enabling NOVA to cover an impressively wide range of applications. Be it a master lacking density, the drum bus asking for more crispiness, or a sibilance problem in your perfect take: NOVA has an elegant answer. A user friendly WYSIWYG drag and drop display paired with a classic “knob” interface gives quick and smooth access to the various parameters driving NOVA’s powerful signal processing. Elaborate equal loudness functions help finding the optimal setting without getting distracted by loudness differences. An extensive set of “Smart Actions” automatically generate sensible starting points according to the input; and further allow matching the spectra and dynamics matching of two different songs, approximating a pink noise distribution, or automatically finding and taming excessive resonances in recordings. NOVA GE includes a total of six dynamic EQ bands, each featuring high grade filters and independent dynamics processors being able to operate in linked, split, or various other configurations.

PLParEQ is a 10-band Phase-Linear Parametric Equalizer of the highest quality. Each filter may assume any of many different filter characteristics, and operate in either traditional phase-warping mode, or our phase-linear mode. It uses the same internal DSP core as all of our other high-end products. Audio streams are treated in either stereo or mono. Individual filters can be applied to either or both stereo channels, middle only, or side only. Phase Linear Operation is achieved by processing your sound in both the forward-time and reverse-time directions through classic filters – all in realtime. This completely removes the phase warping caused by IIR filtering, and applies their roll-off twice. So each filter type becomes two: one for classic IIR filtering, and the other for Phase-Linear operation.

The God Mode introduces a new push-pull technology giving you full control over what frequencies to saturate and distort. It’s node EQ graph and linear phase filters allow for unlimited options to shape the coloration of your sound. The push-pull technology is inspired by the legendary analog Pultec EQ, a passive tube eq from the 50s, widely used in the 70s/80s for both broadcasting and mixing. The Pultec EQ would ‘push’ the gain for a certain frequency range into its tube circuit, and would then ‘pull’ it back again, to smooth out the frequency response. This creates a sound close to the original but with a nice warmth added to the boosted frequency ranges. The God Mode introduces a modern version of this technique. The first step to using the God Mode is to boost or ‘push’ certain frequencies in your track that you like to be more saturated or distorted. You can for example use one shelf to boost the highs and one peak to boost a certain color or resonance. Because you push these frequencies harder into the saturation algorithm, they will be naturally more affected by it. The second step is to decide if and how much ‘pull’ to apply to the boosted frequencies. This gives you creative control over the amount of coloration and the option to create a perfectly balanced frequency response for your track.
